About this piece
The Pixiu (貔貅) is the wealth-attracting mythical creature of Chinese folk belief — said to draw money in but never let it out. This carving uses the dramatic natural colour contrast of the rough to position the green mane and wings against a creamy-white body. Entirely hand-carved; no two are identical. The piece comes with its own rosewood display stand. Can be worn as a pendant by adding the optional 18k gold bail (enquire separately). GIA report confirms natural, untreated Type A jadeite.
